  2. Love how SoundCloud shares feedback they have received from artist, like this one from Big Gigantic. It shows a side of the artist that we don’t see often, their relationship with music streaming services

There’s no doubt that they have been a game changer for anyone in the music space and I’m sure they get notes like this daily.

Keep em’ coming SoundCloud!

We threw a pretty cool rooftop party with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Watch an exclusive video from the event over on the blog! (Photography by Colin Leaman)

Would be so dreamy if ya’ll had live session like this one every month.

Gorgeous rooftop views of Manhattan skyline, gorgeous clothes and gorgeous new store …

    It should happen…

    • Flood of emotions and memories came in when I found these from a Wilderness Ventures 28 day backpacking trip in Jackson Hole back in 1999.

Venturing away from my comfortable and familiar all girls camp in North Carolina and signing up with Wilderness Ventures was one of best changes I made in my life.

That summer in Jackson Hole pushed me to sign up for the 6 week course in Alaska the following year, which then challenged me to complete NOLS course before college.

It’s crazy how just a few photos and a sticker can take you back to see the the growth over years in your life

Kurt Vonnegut’s Rules for Short Stories
    1. Use the time of a total stranger in such a way that he or she will not feel the time was wasted.

    2. Give the reader at least one character he or she can root for.

    3. Every character should want something, even if it is only a glass of water.

    4. Every sentence must do one of two things–reveal character or advance the action.

    5. Start as close to the end as possible.

    6. Be a sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them–in order that the reader may see what they are made of.

    7. Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia.

    8. Give your readers as much information as possible as soon as possible. To heck with suspense. Readers should have such complete understanding of what is going on, where and why, that they could finish the story themselves, should cockroaches eat the last few pages.
